Technical Support Sales Associate

 WISER Systems is seeking a talented and highly motivated Technical Support Sales Associate who enjoys the fast pace of a rapidly growing SaaS company.  The qualified candidate would be responsible for assisting customers with technical issues or questions relating to WISER Locator hardware or software. Duties include conducting virtual hardware and software demonstrations, taking phone calls and emails from customers, and/or communicating with them through messaging platforms. The successful candidate will help customers diagnose technical issues over the phone and provide technical support in the installation of hardware and software in their facilities.

 Responsibilities include:

  • Learning the WISER system, software and hardware, and diagnosing / responding to customer issues dynamically (without scripted answers).

  • Hold virtual or in-person meetings with clients to analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose hardware and software problems

  • Actively update, maintain, and monitor all aspects of customer installations

  • Install and configure WISER Locator systems in new installations for new and existing clients; some travel may be required

  • Respond to customer inquiries and assist in troubleshooting and resolving challenges

  • Complete detailed reports listing requests to technical assistance, steps taken to resolve them, and the specific dates/individuals involved

  • Assist management in creating training materials pertaining to system troubleshooting and usage

  • Act as the initial point of contact for all system related concerns from clients

  • Perform virtual demonstrations of the WISER Locator system to new prospects and marketing leads

Required Experience:

  • Technical degree and 1 – 5 years’ experience

  • 3-5 years of proven experience in a heavy customer-focused position applying technical knowledge of wireless systems, computer networks and/or experience with electronic, mechanical and software products

 Required Skills:

  • Comfortable with and enjoy assisting others working through hardware and software challenges

  • Extensive experience working with different operating systems including Windows and Mac OS

  • Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution

  • Ability to prioritize and efficiently manage several milestones and projects simultaneously

  • Professional written and interpersonal communications skills

  • Experience installing and configuring computer systems and applications

  • Accept constructive criticism and customer feedback regarding their experience with software or IT services and work for continuous improvement

 Other Skills:

  • Ability to work on tasks and projects individually or as part of a team

  • Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with customers, engineering team members, and sales team members

  • Working knowledge of REST APIs, SQL and handling technical issues of mobile apps

  • Self-disciplined and self-motivated

  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, small-team, entrepreneurial environment

  • Flexible and able to take on different tasks as required
