Full Stack Web Developer

WISER Systems is looking for a qualified full-stack web developer to join our engineering team. WISER provides a bleeding-edge green-field technology for three-dimensional, high-precision asset and personnel tracking using RF and UWB. This role will be responsible for maintaining and developing WISER’s web application interface used by system admins to maintain the system and view tracking data. This role will work closely with the sales team, clients, and backend engineers to develop requirements and lead the team to success via high-level decision making in the software product. Strong skills in Vue.js, Node.js and experience in asynchronous and responsive multi-tenant web applications are required. Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, architect, develop, test, and maintain new components and features within the stack of WISER’s web application

  • Work toward feature parity between WISER’s web application and current Windows Application

  • Interface to customers to produce engineering requirements for future features and projects and to provide occasional support

Required Qualifications

  • 2-5 years experience in Vue.js or comparable MVC framework

  • 2-5 years experience in Node.js

  • Strong database modelling skills

  • Experience building asynchronous multi-tenant web applications

  • Strong understanding of HTML5 Canvas

  • Must be able to interface with bare-metal engineers to develop interface requirements into core system

  • Customer-first mentality

  • Ability to work on tasks and projects individually or as part of a team

  • Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with engineering team members, sales team members, and customers

  • Ability to implement new features from end-to-end, including unit tests and documentation

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Availability to travel to customer sites

  • Flexibility and ability to multi-task

  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently while communicating early and often

  • Positive attitude, strong work-ethic, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong desire for continued growth and learning

  • Applicant must be able to work on site, relocation package not available

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

  • Computer Science or Electrical Engineering degree—B.S. or M.S.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Feathers.js

  • Experience with Konva.js

  • Design or UX experience

  • Strong understanding of WebSocket and user authentication via passport.js
